Carson Kressley!
A week ago, I went with Ginny (next door neighbor), John David (her almost-three-year-old), Claire (neighbor three doors down), Haley (Claire's two-year-old), and Ansley (Claire's one-year-old) to the 70th annual Junior League Horse Show at The Red Mile in Lexington. I didn't know this at the time, but this show is the first leg of the American Saddlebred Triple Crown and the world's largest outdoor saddlebred horse show. Lah-dee-DAH, if you please. It's actually quite cool and we saw 3 different groups of horses. They were beautiful. We also wandered through the stables after the show was over and got to pet some of the horses.
We also saw, as I've already mentioned, Carson Kressley, looking sporty in dark denim jeans with dark brown suede on the inner thighs (the "chaps" look, you see), a belt with some kind of shiny embossed plates on it, and a navy blue collared sports shirt with team numbers and "Los Angeles" emblazoned in yellow across the back. As Ginny said to me, dubiously, "Isn't he supposed to be the fashion guy?"
What was Carson doing in Kentucky at a Junior League Horse Show, you might ask? Of course you're asking that. We were asking ourselves the same thing. But THEN I discovered that Carson is a nationally ranked equestrian hisveryownself AND he was once a member of the U.S. World Cup Equestrian Team. How 'bout them apples? (Yet another mystifying phrase.)
Anyway, for those who want something by way of proof or whatever, here's a picture:

Obviously, it seems the picture uploading function is working again, but for some reason is being selective about what it uploads for me. I was trying to upload another picture of Carson as well as update my previous post with the illustration of the phenomenal hash browns one would have to eat in order to participate in the Waffle House Hash Brown Challenge. And you can maybe expect to see a wedding picture on here sometime soon. If you're lucky. And if Blogger will FREAKIN' WORK ALREADY. (Incidentally, if you came to the wedding and took any photos, would you mind emailing us copies at nolanandsusanna at gmail dot com? We'd be most appreciative!)
