If you want to see it in Windows Media Player, click here and then find either the high or low res version on that page.
Actually, this page has links to different versions of the trailer, plus a "Seasons of Love" music video. I think whoever put together these trailers did a smashing job.
After I saw the version of the trailer that is underscored by "Seasons of Love" (also known as "the 525,600 minutes song"), I found myself asking these questions: What would happen if we truly began measuring our lives in love? What would it look like? What would it take for us to begin doing this? What is it that prevents us from measuring our lives in love? How do we currently measure our lives? Are we even capable of measuring our lives in "seasons of love"?
Just for discussion's sake (in case anyone has some thoughts on this and would care to comment), I thought I'd post the lyrics to the song:
525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love.
525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan. 525,600 minutes - how can you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried. In bridges he burned, or the way that she died?
It’s time now to sing out, though the story never ends. Let's celebrate, remember a year in the life of friends! Remember the love...Remember the love...Remember the love! Measure in love. Seasons of love.
Now, I'm not trying to get all sappy or sentimental on y'all (in fact, it's probably best to leave sentimentality out of this altogether). These are interesting questions, and I think the musical deals with them in creative ways. At one point, Mimi sings to Roger, Give in to love, or live in fear. No other path. No other way. No day but today. What do you guys think? How are we spending each of our 525,600 minutes (blogging, perhaps?)? How many of these can we measure in love?
